Saint Jacques Ring — Gold Vermeil

The Saint Jacques ring, in gold vermeil.
A scallop shell carved the way it was once carved in stone on temples in Greece and façades in Rome — reduced to the scale of a hand. No stones, nothing to distract from the form: just the ribs of the shell catching light as you move. In gold vermeil — sterling silver under a heavy layer of real gold — it keeps the warmth of the gold version at a fraction of the price. Made by hand, for you, in our Kraków atelier, in two to four weeks.

Sizing
Every ring is made to your exact size. Sizes in the menu are Polish sizes: Polish size + 40 = inner circumference in millimetres (for example 13 = 53 mm ≈ EU 53 ≈ UK M ≈ US 6½; 17 = 57 mm ≈ EU 57 ≈ UK P ≈ US 8). If you are not sure, write to us before ordering and we will help you measure at home or invite you to the atelier. Resizing is possible in our Kraków atelier — write to us.
Making & delivery
Each piece is cast and finished after your order, which takes 2–4 weeks. You receive photographs before it ships. Delivery by insured courier with signature on delivery: Poland 1–2 days, EU 2–3 days, UK and US 3–5 days. Duties and taxes for orders outside the EU are paid by the recipient. Collection in Kraków is always possible.
Returns
You have 30 days from delivery to return an unworn piece in its original packaging. Pieces made in a non-standard size, engraved pieces and bespoke commissions cannot be returned, but we will always resize or repair them. Write to us and we will send a return label.
Care & guarantee
One-year guarantee on workmanship. The gold layer lasts longest when it stays dry and away from chemicals: take the piece off before showering, swimming and sport, and put on perfume and cream first. After wearing, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use polishing cloths, silver cleaners or ultrasonic cleaners. Store it in the box provided, away from humidity. Complimentary cleaning whenever you are in Kraków; re-plating on request.
The Saint Jacques collection takes the scallop shell and palmette that decorated Mediterranean temples, Renaissance façades and Baroque salons, and makes them again in precious metal. Every piece is made in a single Kraków atelier, with ethically sourced stones.
